Water Supply for Micro electrolysers and Hydrogen regeneration
Adopting a water recovery system specifically designed to facilitate water recovery in its molecular form may present compatibility challenges with the platforms designated as H2ICE. It is imperative to carefully evaluate and address these compatibility issues to ensure effective integration. The captured water would be processed through a micro electrolyzer unit in an ideal scenario. This essential component enables the electrolysis process, which regenerates hydrogen. The hydrogen produced by this process will be systematically introduced into the supply air intake system. This integration serves a dual purpose: it enhances the stabilization of temperature and pressure within the system and significantly decreases the energy required for hydrogen compression. Consequently, this innovative approach has the potential to reduce fuel consumption by up to 42%, thereby improving overall operational efficiency and promoting sustainability.
